Ray and Jill were major contributors to Raven Press at the University of Delaware, a letterpress studio. Along with co-director Bill Deering they often ate at a local tavern called The Deer Park. There is the urban legend that Edgar Allan Poe drank there right before his death in 1849.

This poetry broadside was produced as a keepsake and given to all who ate at the Deer Park on Poe's birthday, January 19.

The title "El Dorado" is embossed onto gold paper and glued on the surface of the broadside.
